A spoiler-light introduction.
The gates stand open. The horses are gone. In their place, Blackshaw begins receiving the dead and the unfinished claims they carry back with them. Empty stalls become evidence of an absence the yard refuses to explain cleanly.
The second Blackshaw novel follows the consequences of protection after its rules have been broken. It is a dark equestrian gothic story about loss, return and a place that remembers every animal and person taken from it.
